Bangladesh is going through a demographic transition and experiencing once-in-a-lifetime demographic dividend as more than 65 percent of our population is of working age, between 15 and 64. Utilizing this huge vibrant workforce is crucial for the overall development of our country as prioritized in SDG-8. To that end, WAVE Foundation implements Empower Youth for Work Project supported by OXFAM in Bangladesh. In order to accelerate the process of youth employment, WAVE organized a day-long Job Fair at Bakergonj, Barisal on 27th January, 2019 where potential youths got walk-in interview opportunity. The fair attracted the attention of huge bunch of youth generation. 165 youths were primarily selected by five companies out of 385 curriculum vitae submitted.
