Parkrishnapur Prattay Unmukta Pathagar and WAVE Foundation jointly organized the traditional Boat Race in Mathavanga River at Parkrishnapur-Madna Union under Damurhuda Upazila of Chuadanga district on 12^th September, 2019. The program was intended to revive an age-old cultural heritage involving youths and people of different strata of the society. Numerous enthusiastic spectators from around the surroundings created a joyful ambience at the bank of Mathavanga River. Honorable Thana Nirbahi Officer Mr. S.M Lingkon, Senior Police Officer of Chuadanga District Mr. Abu Rasel, Chairman of Parkrishnapur Union Parishad Mr. S.A.M Zakaria Alam, Deputy Executive Director of WAVE Foundation Mr. Anwar Hossain, Officer In-charge of Damurhuda Model Thana Mr. Shukumar Biswas and Chairman of Kurulgachi Union Parishad Mr. Enamul Karim Inu were present and distributed prize among the winners. The event created an air of festivity in the event area. Parkrishnapur Jubo Forum held the first position while Parkrishnapur Ottadhunuk Sporting Club and Chandipur Akadash held second and third positions respectively.
