The inauguration ceremony of a three-month residential training on four trade courses was held at WAVE Trade Training Center on 7 April 2026. These training programs are being implemented under the Skills for Industry Competitiveness and Innovation Program (SICIP), supported by the Government of Bangladesh and the Asian Development Bank (ADB), in collaboration with PKSF. The ceremony was also attended by Ms. Nasefa Ali, Deputy Executive Director of WAVE Foundation, Mr. Fazlul Haque, a member of WAVE’s Governing Body, along with all instructors & officials of WAVE Trade Training Center and other officials from PKSF. During the ceremony, speakers highlighted the vital importance of technical and vocational education in creating sustainable employment opportunities and strengthening the nation’s workforce. They urged trainees to take full advantage of the training, develop their skills with dedication, and prepare themselves to meet the needs of a rapidly evolving job market.

In addition to the ceremony, Md. Ziauddin Iqbal visited the workplaces of seven graduates from various trades in Chuadanga and Meherpur districts. The visit provided insights into the impact of the training on the graduates employment status and economic wellbeing.
