A two-day refresher training was conducted under Gender Equality Transforms Climate Action (GETCA) project at NGO Forum, Dhaka on 7-8 April 2026, bringing together project staff from consortium partners Nazrul Smrity Sangsad (NSS), DASCOH Foundation, BSDO, and Jago Nari. The training aimed to strengthen staff capacity, review first-year achievements and challenges, and prepare participants for the effective implementation of second-year activities.
This project is supported by the Nagorikata: Civic Engagement Fund (CEF), funded by Switzerland, Canada, and the European Union, and managed by GFA Consulting Group. In the opening session, Mohsin Ali, Executive Director of WAVE Foundation, emphasized the importance of collective efforts to advance inclusive and gender-responsive climate action. Aziza Asfin, Fund Management Expert of GFA Consulting Group, highlighted the objectives and key components of the CEF program.
Technical sessions covered first-year project progress, second-year planning, advocacy and communication strategies, monitoring systems, and data collection methods. The second day focused on financial and administrative management, including budgeting, overhead management, and Tax and VAT compliance.
The training concluded with participants reaffirming their commitment to applying the knowledge gained and working collaboratively to achieve project targets effectively. The event also strengthened coordination and experience-sharing among consortium partners, contributing to improved project implementation and gender-responsive climate action.
