Right to Food Bangladesh-RtF BD works towards ensuring right to food and nutritional security for all the people of the country and now around 916 organizations across Bangladesh are the members of the Platform and WAVE hosts its Secretariat.
The secretary of Right To Food Bangladesh and also an Executive Director of WAVE Foundation, Mr. Mohsin Ali alongside the Right To Food team met the Food Minister, Ministry of Food, the Government of the People’s Republic of Bangladesh. Here is a snapshot of this discussion.
The Right to Food Team had met with the Honorable Food Minister MD. Qamrul Islam MP, Ministry of Food, the Government of People’s Republic of Bangladesh on Tuesday 04 September, 2018 at the Ministry of Food. The Honorable Minister took a little immediate action and arranged separate meetings with the Secretary Shahabuddin Ahmed, Ministry of Food and the Director General (Additional Secretary) Md. Arifur Rahman Apu, Directorate General of Food of the Government of the People’s Republic of Bangladesh and two other Additional Secretaries the same day. Food Minister also gave word to take steps possible on the Ministry’s part. The Director of CES and ex – Food Commissioner of India Harsh Mander has also attended the meeting with the Right to Food team.
