A lobbying session was held between Peyaratola Krishi Morcha (Farmers Producers Organization) and the Chuadanga District Commissioner to address challenges faced by fruit farmers in Jibannagar. Ten members of Krishi Morcha, including the President and General Secretary, participated in the discussion. The leaders presented key demands, including the establishment of an Agricultural Advisory Center at the Peyaratola fruit market, measures to prevent fruit wastage, incentives for organic fertilizer production, and training on fertilizer management. District Commissioner Mohammad Jahirul Islam appreciated Krishi Morcha’s initiative, noting the importance of giving farmers an organized platform to voice their concerns. He assured that the four demands would be discussed with the Deputy Director of the Department of Agriculture and addressed promptly. The session concluded with an invitation for the Commissioner to visit the fruit market, reinforcing collaboration between local administration and farmers to promote sustainable agricultural development.
