Mojammel was born in poverty but had a natural talent for design that emerged at a young age. Following the death of his father, his mother moved to Dhaka and found work as an apprentice in a jewelry shop. As a result, Mojammel did not receive a proper education, but his passion for designing never faded. At the age of eighteen, his designing skills landed him a job. However, when he asked for a salary raise, his boss not only refused but also insulted him. Disheartened, Mojammel left the job and began to contemplate his future. While searching for opportunities to improve his work skills, he came across WAVE’s Empowering Youth for Work (EYW) project. This project provided training on various soft skills that could help him succeed in the workforce. He decided to enroll in the program and took the entrepreneurship skills training course. With the knowledge and resources, he obtained from the program, he was able to secure a loan and open his own shop, which specialized in block, batik, and dressmaking.

Mojammel aspires to grow his business by opening a bigger shop and establishing his own design brand in the future. He has become an inspiration to others, showcasing that with hard work, determination, and access to the right resources, anyone can achieve their dreams.
