From 19 October to 2 November 2025, Youth Festival-2025 brought vibrant celebrations to the Shomriddhi (ENRICH) areas of Jibannagar and Damurhuda, with WAVE Foundation leading the implementation in close partnership with the Ministry of Finance and PKSF. The Customer Service Fortnight, a highlight of the festival, saw a flurry of energetic and community-centered activities focused on health, social awareness, and environmental cleanliness.
As part of the festival, non-communicable disease prevention and voluntary blood donation campaigns were conducted, alongside initiatives to combat social ills and promote hygiene. Mobile satellite clinics run by local MBBS doctors and static clinics managed by Shomriddhi health officers provided free consultations, check-ups, medicines, and referrals, reaching a total of 246 beneficiaries (175 women, 38 men, 33 children). Doctors held discussions on high blood pressure, diabetes, heart disease, cancer, and other complex conditions, raising awareness while providing practical solutions.
The festival also spotlighted social responsibility. Youth-led campaigns addressed child marriage, dowry, and violence against women and children, while cleanliness drives transformed villages, schools, and homes. At Utholi Secondary Girls’ School and Hauli Union Parishad, local leaders, teachers, and WAVE staff discussed these issues, pledging to work collectively against social ills. A total of 259 participants including youth, adolescents, women, men, and guests actively joined the awareness and cleanliness initiatives, inspiring wider community participation.
Through this lively festival, WAVE brought joy, awareness, and service to the community, leaving residents energized and hopeful for a healthier, safer, and cleaner future.
