The Training Division of WAVE Foundation, in collaboration with the Human Resources Division, continued its efforts during July and August 2025 to strengthen staff capacity and enhance professional development. These initiatives particularly supported staff working in the  microcredit program, while also contributing to the overall human resource development of the organization. Over this two-month period, five training batches were completed on four key topics, reaching 109 participants. 

The Training on Managerial Role in Advancing Loan Expansion was conducted in two separate batches on 19-20 July at the Head Office and 18-19 August at WAVE Training Center. A total of 46 participants including Unit Managers and Advanced CD Officers from Dhaka, Manikganj, Chuadanga, and Kushtia regions joined the sessions. This two-day course facilitated by senior trainers focused on strategies and management aspects essential for expanding advanced loan programs which remain a central priority for sustaining the growth and profitability of WAVE’s microfinance operations. 

On 2 August, Financial Management Capacity Building Workshop was held at Head Office. This one-day event brought together regional administrators, project officers, and program accounts officers to strengthen their financial management skills critical for ensuring long-term organizational stability and sustainable development. 

From 8–10 August, Effective Facilitation Tools and Techniques course was organized at WAVE Training Center. Designed to develop a resource pool of skilled facilitators, this three-day training introduced participants from various programs to interactive methods of communication, facilitation, and team engagement. 

The reporting period concluded with a 15 day Foundation Training on Microcredit Program from 12-26 August at WAVE Training Center. Tailored for newly recruited staff, the course combined classroom-based theoretical sessions with field based practical exercises, equipping participants with both knowledge and hands-on experience to confidently serve in the microcredit program. 

Across all sessions, participatory methods such as brainstorming, group work, role plays, panel discussions, and case studies kept participants engaged. Feedback indicated high satisfaction, with an average training effectiveness score of 4.72 out of 5. 

These trainings not only enhanced technical knowledge but also strengthened confidence, teamwork, and problem-solving abilities equipping staff to contribute more effectively to WAVE Foundation’s mission of sustainable development.
